PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Construction joints are particularly weak points in a below grade structure and as the nature of pressurized water is to target the path of least resistance, substandard joint sealing could potentially cause extensive damage to your structure.

The CEM11/19 injection hose is a cost-effective, high-performance Injection Tube System, suitable for the sealing of construction and cold joints of below ground reinforced concrete constructions, foundations and tunnels.

Application – Where to use CEM11/19

THE CEM11/19 Injection system can be used for sealing of all forms of construction joints which are permanently or occasionally exposed to loads due to subterranean, down-the-slope or surface water. CEM11/19 may be used for sealing construction joints in below-grade concrete structures, civil engineering, and tunneling.

Main areas of application:

  • Horizontal and vertical construction- and cold joints
  • Below ground reinforced concrete structures like foundations and tunnels
  • All forms of construction joints which are permanently or occasionally exposed to loads due to subterranean, down-the-slope or surface water

Technology – How does CEM11/19 work?

Due to the geometry of the apertures in the CEM11/19 Injection Tube, the outlets remain closed, preventing the ingress of cement paste or fines into the transport duct, thus providing a reliable passage for the injection material. The smooth surface of the tube prevents any unwanted bonding between the concrete and the outer surface of the tube. CEM11/19 is suitable for use with any favored injection materials and its smooth, non-adhering surface gives it the ability to be used for remedial injection treatments.

Installation – Benefits

  • Easy handling and time saving fitting
  • The unique design prevents the fresh concrete paste from entering the system
  • A circular hose prevents unwanted twisting and the smooth surface prevents bonding between the hose and the concrete
  • For specific installation instructions, please refer to CEM11/19 product brochure or contact your local Cemproof technical support

Accessories

CEM11/19 IS GREAT ON ITS OWN
…BUT EVEN BETTER AS PART OF THE CEMPROOF SYSTEM.

Complete your design with one or several of the following products to
achieve a fail-safe combination waterproofing system:

  • DUALPROOF® – Radon tight, self-healing waterproof membrane
    • Protection against Ground Water & Ground Contaminants.
    • Resistant to Ground Gases (including Radon)
    • Protects concrete against salt and sulphate.
    • Can be installed in all weather conditions – No project delays.
    • Environmentally friendly alternative to bituminous products.
    • Provides all Grades of Protection according to BS 8102: 2009.
  • QUELLMAX® PLUS – Swellable joint waterstop tape with rain protection
    • Dual protection through both swelling (>500%) and additional mineralization that heals concrete through formation of free lime..
    • Optimal for structures that will be subjected to high water pressure (tested up to 7 bar/70m) and variable water tables.
    • The infinitely reversible swelling/shrinkage secures the integrity of your structure throughout it’s expected service life.
    • The protective coating of Quellmax® Plus protects against premature swelling due to rain or general site water.
    • Quellmax® is installed on the “Waterside” and CEM11/19 on the “dry side”.
